Every L.A.D Slab is crafted using our Layer-Locked Process. A four-stage structure designed to deliver the perfect balance of softness, richness, and texture in every bite.
Instead of everything blending into one dense block, each layer plays its part. A soft oat base, a generous centre, a second oat layer to lock it in, and a sealed top to finish.
The result?
A slab that holds its structure, stays soft where it matters, and delivers something different with every bite.
The Base Beneath
At its core lies Grandad Alder’s original recipe; oats, butter, sugar, and golden syrup brought together in a gooey, dense foundation. Dark cherries linger within, adding quiet intensity.
Bittersweet Control
Dark sour cherries cooked with vanilla and lifted by lemon juice, creates Boddington's Cherry Conserve that moves between sweet depth and tart sharpness.
All Bases Covered
Another layer of the cherry base is added to encase and secure the jam centre, holding its rich sweet-tart profile firmly within the slab.
The Cherry On Top
A final layer of velvety dark chocolate, scattered with chopped cherry pieces that sit through the surface for added depth and bite.
