Every L.A.D Slab is crafted using our Layer-Locked Process. A four-stage structure designed to deliver the perfect balance of softness, richness, and texture in every bite.
Instead of everything blending into one dense block, each layer plays its part. A soft oat base, a generous centre, a second oat layer to lock it in, and a sealed top to finish.
The result?
A slab that holds its structure, stays soft where it matters, and delivers something different with every bite.
Base Of Operations
Grandad Alder’s original recipe forms the base; rolled oats combined with butter, sugar, golden syrup, and sharp orange juice, forming a solid, dependable structure. Every layer built to hold its ground.
Marmalade To Order
Boddington’s marmalade, crafted from orange juice, zest, sugar, and lemon juice, chosen for its depth, definition, and controlled finish.
The Base Drop
The orange infused oat base is repeated as a second layer, mirroring the foundation beneath and holding the slab in deliberate structural alignment.
All Choc'd Up
A velvety orange chocolate layer finishes the slab, set in place under order of The General, with orange zest added to complete the final command.
